The hotel located in very good environment surrounded with mountain view. Me and my family had such a great time during stay, the staff are very nice to our family, even they're not good in English. We booked the room with half-board ( dinner + breakfast included) For dinner the hotel set the private room for each family, the food was beyond our expectation!! the old woman who served us are very polite and so kind to the kids. I feel so sorry that on the next morning we went for the breakfast late about 30min. because my misunderstood I thought it was gonna be like buffet breakfast, but I was wrong the breakfast was set up at the same room as dinner and the time for both dinner and breakfast must be booked so the staff will set up the room and table. As I told you we were late for breakfast about 30min. the staff was waiting at the front door of dining room and the food were set up on the table already, I felt so guilty , and I must apologize to the staff , there were waiting for us patiently . After we finished the breakfast I apologized to them. The staff said "Daijobu desu" with the smiling face and kind voice. Thank you for prepare such a great and wonderful service to us. By the way I will definitely come back to stay here again for you sure If I have a chance to go to Takayama.

1. Definitely value for money. Although the price isn't cheap, the nice onsen, immensely elaborate dinner and breakfast, and the wonderful room more than made up for the price. 2. It was in a beautiful location overlooking a river with hills nearby. 3. The bus from Takayama stops directly in front of the hotel. 4. I could visit the onsen as many times as I liked, and it was very enjoyable. They had both indoor and outdoor onsens. 5. The dinner was a literal feast, and the breakfast was a mini feast. The food exceeded all my expectations. 6. The room was very large by Japanese standards. 7. The view from the balcony was breathtakingly beautiful. 8. The futon bed was comfortable.

The baths are exceptional, there is also a large mixed bath. The staff is very professional, helpful and kind, the ladies at the meal services so nice and fun. English is spoken at the front desk and by staff of different countries. Everyone does their best so we have a great stay. One employee even took us to the morning market by car. The food was excellent, we ate in private rooms. The very convenient bus stop to TAKAYAMA. The area around the hotel is very beautiful The hotel is clean , comfortable, everything works well like wifi etc… We would definitely come back if in the area.

Beautiful onsen, with the option of mixed onsen (after you pass the male/female onsen only there is a room with the appropriate clothing to be worn in the mixed onsen area). Staff is the best, food experience was great, room was spacious and very clean. Perfect to relax one day with family. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that departs from Takayama, and you can take the same bus on your way back (~70minutes) that departures at every 2 hours. There are other bus routes options more frequently but it will require a 10-ish minutes walk.

My friends and I road-tripped through a lot of Japan, and we had almost a week of Onsens. The Onsen here was the best. The dinning experience was also so fantastic. This was our favorite dinning experience we had. Not to say the food was the best we'd eaten, it was good, but the experience was what made it. Our hostess treated us very well and at times I almost felt bad to be served by an older lady, but I think that was perhaps cultural difference.
